2. Data protection officer

Based on the current assessment, there is no legal obligation to appoint a data protection officer (Section 38 BDSG / Article 37 GDPR). As special categories of personal data may be processed in the course of insurance brokerage, such as health data when arranging private health insurance, we recommend reviewing this assessment regularly, ideally with a lawyer specialising in data protection law.

3. General information on data processing

We generally process personal data of our users and clients only where necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services, or where permitted by law or based on your consent (Article 6(1) GDPR).

4. Hosting

This website is hosted and technically provided through the Lovable platform (Lovable Labs Incorporated); content such as images and videos is delivered through a content delivery network (Cloudflare). When you access the website, the hosting provider automatically collects technical access data (server log files), including:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • Date and time of access
  • Page or file accessed and referrer URL
  • Browser type and version and operating system used

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of our website). Log data is stored for a limited period for security reasons and then deleted.

5. Contact

5.1 Contact form / email / telephone

If you contact us by email, telephone, or through a contact form, we process the data you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and message, to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

Enquiries (leads) submitted through forms on our website are processed technically through our website platform (Lovable) and stored in our CRM system so that we can track and handle your enquiry. Email communication is handled through Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited).

5.2 Contact via WhatsApp

Our website provides a direct contact link to WhatsApp. If you contact us through it, your message is sent through the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app on your device. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (part of the Meta group). WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent through active contact) or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the contact serves to initiate an advisory relationship.

5.3 Appointment booking via Calendly

We use Calendly to book free initial consultations. The provider is Calendly LLC, 271 17th Street NW, Suite 1000, Atlanta, GA 30363, USA. When booking, the data you enter, such as your name, email address and any further information about your enquiry, is transmitted to and processed by Calendly to coordinate the appointment and send reminders.

As Calendly may transfer data to the USA, we base this transfer on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Article 46(2)(c) GDPR) and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework if Calendly is certified under it. More information: calendly.com/privacy

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures for arranging the appointment).

6. Cookies and tracking

6.1 General

Our website uses cookies. Technically necessary cookies make the website functional; consent is not required for these (Section 25(2) TTDSG).

6.1a Strictly necessary cookies and fonts

Our hosting sets the following strictly necessary cookies: "__cf_bm" (Cloudflare bot protection, approx. 30 minutes) and "__dpl" (routing to the correct website deployment by our hosting provider, session). Legal basis: Section 25(2)(2) TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. All fonts are hosted locally on our server; no connection to Google Fonts is made.

6.2 Google Analytics

This website may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies or comparable technologies to analyse your use of our website, such as pages visited, time spent, and traffic source.

Processing takes place only with your prior consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TTDSG), which you may give through our cookie consent banner and withdraw at any time with future effect. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: policies.google.com/privacy

6.3 Meta/Facebook Pixel

This website may use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. It enables us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook and Instagram advertising (conversion tracking) and create audiences for campaigns. After you consent, Meta browser and click identifiers and normalised contact details such as email address, telephone number and name may be sent to Meta to improve attribution of giveaway registrations; Meta processes these details in hashed form according to its documentation.

Processing takes place only with your prior consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TTDSG). Data may be transferred to the USA. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings with future effect. More information: facebook.com/privacy/policy

Important note: Unless a legally compliant cookie consent tool is integrated that loads Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel only after active consent, these services must not be used as described above. Please have the website checked to determine whether these scripts are currently present and, if so, either remove them or secure them through a consent banner before they load.

7. ProvenExpert review portal

We display customer reviews on our website or link to our ProvenExpert profile, a service of ProvenExpert.com GmbH, Torstraße 33-35, 10119 Berlin. • Contact and identification data
  • Financial and asset data, such as income and existing contracts
  • Where applicable, special categories of personal data, particularly health data, where required to arrange health, disability, or life insurance

The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance or pre-contractual measures) and, for health data, your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) GDPR, which is obtained separately during the advisory process.

Your data is disclosed as necessary to the following recipients:

  • TELIS FINANZ Vermittlung AG as the liability umbrella under whose status we operate

  • Our CRM system for internal client relationship management

No further disclosure takes place unless you have expressly consented or we are legally required to do so.

Insurance brokerage documentation is generally retained for 5 or 10 years after the end of the business relationship under Section 62 VVG in conjunction with Section 18 VersVermV and commercial and tax law (HGB, AO). Enquiries that do not result in a client relationship are deleted when no longer needed for handling, and no later than 12 months afterward.
